After a decade launching and building Sagamore Spirit into a national brand, I left my role as CEO to create something uniquely small.

Drawing on my industry experience and long-standing passion for whiskey, I set out to create an indie-whiskey brand focused on small-batch, one-of-a-kind whiskies.

Silverthorn Reserve is about a dedication to uncompromising quality and the opportunity to take on projects that make no sense at scale.

SILVERTHORN RESERVE is built on a passion for the art and science of crafting exquisite whiskies

OUR FOCUS is narrow in scope. We do single barrel curation, custom finishing, and blending projects of 2 to 10 barrels.  Through industry connections we scour the US and world for exceptional barrels to deliver our customers one-of-a-kind small-batch whiskies

OUR PROMISE to the whiskey community is to tirelessly produce delicious and interesting whiskies with complete transparency, fair pricing, and no BS

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

  • We run sensory analysis on every single barrel
  • We utilize slow-blending and slow-proofing, where we gauge and blend a batch and then return it to its barrels to marinate
  • We don't chill-filter
  • We never use additives or coloring - if it's not on our label it's not in our whiskey
  • We don’t play distribution games or jack pricing beyond what the business needs to continue delivering on its promise

We pour our hearts into every project and are proud to share all the details.  Every bottle includes a statement of composition which includes mash bills, blend ratios, and sources
